While watching the movie The Incredibles for the first time ever, I was
really moved by the plot.
Through out the movie there was multiple scenes in
which changed the dynamic of the movie but the one I feel caused the most
change to the plot was when Mrs. Incredible found out that her husband, Mr.
Incredible. He was not at a work conference but instead out begin a super hero
again. For those who have never seen the movie Mr. and Mrs. Incredible were
once super heroes until the Super Hero protection program was created and they
began to live in everyday society. This occurred about half way through the
movie. To me, I really read into the movie and thought about the deeper meaning
through out the movie. When Mrs. Incredible found out about her husband she, as
I feel, stepped up to the role and knew she had to help the family. She wanted
to protect her children from the super hero world and didn’t want to take her
children along. So she quickly hopes on to a plane and flies to the island in
which her husband Mr. Incredible was. As she was flying she quickly realized
two of her children were on the plane as well. Quickly coming up to danger you
see her take control and become the things her family needs in order to
survive. For intense she becomes a boat in order to get her family to land. I
read deeper into the meaning of the situation, and regardless if I am correct
or not I feel that it shows how the women of the house can also be “Incredible”
and lead the household. I really think she was meant to be the women at the
moment and help with those things. It was in that moment she stepped up and
that changed the movie. They quickly went from living the daily life to
becoming the Incredible.
