"Cleaned up" Blankets

Growing up in today’s society- well any society we face tons of issues. Whether these issues have to do with questioning meaning, sexual experiences, questions surrounding ones faith and many more issues. The book Blankets by Craig Thompson really captures a first hand story of a teenager going through these issues. The author Craig Thompson did a stunning job explaining and capturing these experiences. As I was first assigned to read a graphic novel I was just floored, how are we college students reading a comic book is what I thought originally. However I was just shocked and moved by the storyline.

Music is my life and passion. Music is in my eyes the soul of the story behind you the person. Your life- happy verse sad, depressed, excited, and etc can be explained by the music you listen to, the music you avoid and the songs you play on repeat.

Our world has greatly been impacted by the use of social media and various technology forms. Indirect communications is communicating with individuals in any means other then directly, including social media, texting/instant messaging, phone calls, and anything else through our various forms of technology. 

Blankets- a telling story

While watching the movie The Incredibles for the first time ever, I was really moved by the plot.

    As college students, we are pretty adaptive. When you think about it, we’ve had to shift a lot of our habits that we used to have now that we don't have the luxuries of home. One of those luxuries, is a home-cooked meal.

Stole Stevie-Who?

Oh no Stevie got kidnapped, was it the WarHawks of UW-Whitewater? My crew of private eye detectives Anthony Rottier, Jack Fernre, Clarissa Evans, and Lukas Endmann went out to find Stevie. We were in a hurry to make sure Stevie our beloved mascot.
