Soulful Night

The 22nd Annual Soul Food Dinner took place February 22nd here on the campus of UWSP. As a member of BSU, the Black Student Union on campus and a sister of Sigma Delta Rho sorority I was required to not just attend the event but to help cook for over 500 indivduals. It turned out to be such an enjoyable night.

(Cash Money/Young Money Records)

I was shocked to read that despite the fate of failure for many rap industry dynasties Cash Money/Young Money Records had escaped that faith. I religiously listen to artist part of the Cash Money/Young Money Records and was shocked to hear that the label is said to be splitting.

WATCH FLIM HERE!

Tonight I watched the documentary Disconnected, the documentary provided with a great deal of understanding of what it is like for a student to give up their computers back in 2007. During a film documentary class the students all agreed to give up the use of their laptops or another computers. As I noticed before watching the documentary I knew that the film was older and didn’t expect the reaction the students provided for.  Growing up technology has planned a major role in my social life, as well as my educational experience.

Cutting ties

Our worlds have greatly been impacted by the use of social media and various technology forms- indirect communications. Today I decided to reflect on the question, is it acceptable to break up with someone via a text message or any other forms of indirect communication? To most without hesitation they would say “no”, and I would have to agree.
